This programme draws together your experience and knowledge from your previous studies to examine the management and strategic issues involved in business.

Who is this course for?

The course has been specifically designed as a direct progression for students who already have a foundation degree in Business Management, HND/HNC in Business or equivalent qualifications.

Learning outcomes

  • On successful conclusion of this programme, you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how business organisations function and are managed, as well as the influencing environmental factors.
  • You will be able to analyse the strategic choices available to businesses and demonstrate a critical appreciation as to how managerial decisions are taken in their economic and cultural context.
  • You will also be able to apply and analyse the principles of management relating to marketing, human resource management, and the logistics and operations of a business.
  • Throughout the programme, you explore and evaluate a range of contemporary business and management issues. You are also encouraged to actively engage in activities around entrepreneurial thinking and capability.

Entry requirements and selection

  • A typical offer will include GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above and any of the following: a foundation degree in Business Management, HND/HNC in Business (ideally with a merit profile) or equivalent qualifications.
